FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WANE) — Police say a crash in Interstate 69 have resulted in a nine-car pileup as hazardous weather conditions continue to ravage northeast Indiana.
According to the Indiana Department of Transportation’s (INDOT) Trafficwise website, a crash on I-69 near Airport Expressway currently has all lanes blocked.
A police officer told WANE 15 the crash occurred near the 300 mile marker and resulted in a nine-car pileup.
Northbound traffic on I-69 is being diverted onto Airport Expressway, according to police.
INDOT has also reported other crashes on notable northeast Indiana highways throughout the day.
On Interstate 469, another crash near Indianapolis Road involving a semitruck had all southbound lanes blocked until approximately 3:49 p.m., according to INDOT.
INDOT also reported a crash just after 4:00 p.m. on the Indiana Toll Road in LaGrange County near Star Mill, Indiana. INDOT reported the crash was no longer an issue around 4:25 p.m.
